I’ve worked as a blogger for a few events, but over the years I’ve never found a blogging team quite like that of Silly Llama Productions. There’s a lot of pressure on you when working these events through the year, Risky Business, Vintage Fair, and Hallow Manor, you need to be focused and aware of dates and what is expected within the 2 week timeframe of the event itself. Pulling it off can be challenging, in a good way, I might add. I love the challenge, each round brings something new to it, more ideas, more fun and creativity.
Seeing what my fellow bloggers bring to the table is simply amazing, I love looking at the work they’ve done and seeing all the different ideas and styles offered. None of this is possible without three other factors.
Creators: Bringing us their items to get the blogs out there, to let our imaginations run wild and create so many different options to advertise their creations.
Owners, Organisers & Partners: To bring us the event, the sim, the building of the sim, all the information needed, website updating
Blogger Managers: Without them, it would be chaos of getting everything done, keeping us to the rules, letting us know what hasn’t been blogged, what needs more attention.
This is where I find it different to other teams I’ve been apart of, because we’re reminded of logging our blogs, getting new stores out there, making certain everything has been covered. You don’t get this at most other events I’ve blogged for, you’re left to your own devices, you’re expected to know what needs to be done, what hasn’t been done, and what should be done. It’s not always the case though.
I’m not forgetting the bloggers in this either, they are fantastic, and conversation is shared, everyone steps in to help, every problem gets resolved. If you need help, there is always someone there who is willing to step in and lend a hand and give you the support you need.
In past events I had offered help if needed, I’m always happy to step in if the time zone fits. This year I had an amazing collaboration with Marion, who also Vlogs, see below for the video. This was fun, I was given the option of what I could wear, as long as it wasn’t a skirt. Easy enough, there was a lot to choose from, but I found what I wanted and put it together. Big thank you to the creators for everything you shared to make this round amazing. Owners for putting the events together every round and every year. Team members, for all that you do behind the scenes to keep the event running. Bloggers, for sharing you inspiration and imagination. Marion, for a fantastic hour or so, and a new friendship.
